This August, our Primary School children celebrated Book Week by bringing some of their favourite stories to life.
Each class, from Reception to Year 5, dressed up and performed for their peers, creating a magical tour of literary treasures.
Armed with special tickets, the students went from class to class, enjoying performances from storybooks including The Rainbow Fish, George’s Marvellous Medicine, Where the Wild Things Are and Charlotte’s Web.
Book Week celebrations are a wonderful way for children to strengthen their learning experience in literacy, enabling them to develop the skills to express their thoughts, feelings and values, as well as decipher, respond to and appreciate the thoughts, feelings and values of others.
