As Term 1 comes to a close at Plympton International College, we’re proud to reflect on a dynamic and inspiring start to the year.
Learning & Wellbeing
This term marked the beginning of our two-year journey with the Berry Street Education Model, integrating wellbeing strategies into everyday teaching. From body regulation to consistent routines, our focus is on helping every student thrive.
Student Highlights
We’ve celebrated cultural events like Lunar New Year and Harmony Day, and achievements such as:
Luis Villena receiving a SACE Merit
Joel Ebomo Zoalang winning the 100m and 200m State Track titles
10 new international students joining our college community
Leadership forums with Her Excellency, Governor Frances Adamson
Students also enjoyed surf camps, drama excursions, leadership conferences, and are already rehearsing for next year’s musical, Alice in Wonderland.
Partnerships & Pathways
A new partnership with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Education Centre means students can now complete a Certificate III on campus in our simulated hospital. We also welcomed exchange student teachers, university collaborations, and began preparations for our upcoming China trip.
What’s Ahead in Term 2
There’s plenty to look forward to next term, including:
Dream Big arts excursions
R-12 Sports Day (23 May)
Mountain biking championships
The launch of our first podcasting club
A Parent Forum with Professor Nathan Wallis
Building Our Future
Our $14 million redevelopment is well underway, with exciting upgrades to learning spaces, the Fitness Centre, staff areas, and OSHC facilities.
A Message from the Principal
“This term, we’ve seen our vision come to life—through resilience in learning, creativity in the arts, and leadership across our school. Thank you to our staff, families, and students for making this a wonderful start to the year. Take time to rest, reflect, and recharge. We can’t wait to see what Term 2 brings!”
